Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Lip Blush.

Lip Blush typically lasts 1–3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Annual or biennial touch-ups maintain vibrancy. Sun exposure, exfoliation and certain skincare products can accelerate fading; your technician will recommend a tailored maintenance schedule.

Most clients experience minimal discomfort thanks to topical numbing agents applied before and during Lip Blush. Sensations are described as light pressure or tingling. Mild swelling and tenderness are normal for a few days and subside with recommended aftercare.

Avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol and excessive sun exposure for 24-48 hours prior. Stop retinoids and exfoliating treatments a week before. Notify us of cold sore history; antiviral treatment may be advised. Arrive with clean, makeup-free lips for consultation.

Avoid applying lipstick until lips have fully healed, typically 7-10 days for surface healing and up to four weeks for complete settling. Use only recommended products during healing and follow your technician's guidance to protect pigment longevity.

Ideal candidates seek subtle color, definition and fuller-looking lips without daily lipstick. Not recommended for active cold sores, certain medical conditions, pregnancy or uncontrolled auto-immune issues. A consultation and health review determine individual suitability.

Clean gently with a sterile cloth, apply recommended ointment, and avoid picking, heavy makeup, swimming and saunas for at least one week. Protect from sun and abrasive skincare. Follow scheduled touch-up appointments for optimal results.
